Job Description
This is a 1099 consulting role that is remote for 3 months with possible extension.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING - Review K-8 grammar and mechanics materials for accuracy and clarity
- Ensure that grammatical terminology is defined and used correctly
- Ensure that practice exercises demonstrate the concept accurately and appropriately for the given grade level, suggesting revisions as needed
- Advise team members on grammar and mechanics questions
- BA/BS degree
- Impeccable knowledge of English grammar and structure; for example, you know what a dangling participle is and would love to explain it to someone!
- Experience teaching traditional English grammar and syntax, including sentence types, clauses, structural rules, and mechanics
- Copy editing experience
- Superior writing and editing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of K-12 students reading and knowledge levels
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
