Write and review clear, engaging assessment items to address specified educational objectives in grades K-12
Review and edit assessment items and collaborate with our team of writers, editors, and illustrators to ensure content is clear, accurate, and age-appropriate
Write achievement level descriptors and other assessment documentation
Collaborate with curriculum designers, psychometricians, program managers, and company leaders to determine assessment scope and approach
Develop and manage project plans to create and deliver high-quality assessment items
Research and analyze content requirements, including state educational standards
Assist with other ELA curriculum design projects as assigned, such as creating and reviewing standards alignments and writing and reviewing ELA content for IXLs learning activities
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
2+ years experience writing items for statewide or national assessments
K-12 ELA teaching or tutoring experience
Outstanding written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a wide range of age groups
Ability to think strategically and creatively solve problems
Can-do attitude with an openness to others ideas and a strong attention to detail
Ability to quickly learn new guidelines and software; familiarity with HTML, Jira, or version control software is a plus
Experience in curriculum development and instructional design is a plus
