Job Description

Job Title: HR Manager (Healthcare & Hospital)
Location: Rama Hospital and Medical College, Kanpur
Job Type: Full-time
Reports to: Managing Director

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Manager with 5-10 years of post-graduation experience, particularly in the healthcare and hospital sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and training. You will play a pivotal role in managing the workforce in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment, ensuring that the hospitals staffing needs are met while maintaining a positive and productive work culture.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment & Staffing:
    • Lead the recruitment process for all hospital and healthcare positions, including nurses, doctors, administrative staff, and support personnel.
    • Develop and implement staffing strategies to ensure the hospital operates with the right talent, while managing turnover and retention rates.
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and provide effective talent solutions.

  1. Employee Relations & Engagement:
    • Manage employee relations by addressing grievances, conflict resolution, and ensuring a positive, supportive work environment.
    • Promote employee engagement initiatives and maintain a strong organizational culture that supports employee well-being and morale.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, employee rights, and workplace issues.

  1. Performance Management:
    • Oversee the performance management process, including setting performance goals, conducting appraisals, and providing feedback and development plans.
    • Identify areas for training and development to improve employee performance and career growth.
    • Ensure alignment of individual and team performance with hospital objectives.

  1. Compliance & Policies:
    • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with healthcare regulations, labor laws, and organizational standards.
    • Manage the implementation of HR compliance programs, including health & safety, labor laws, and employee documentation.
    • Keep up-to-date with changing healthcare policies and legal requirements impacting the hospitals workforce.

  1. Training & Development:
    • Coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, with a focus on healthcare-specific training and certifications.
    • Identify skill gaps and develop strategies to address them through workshops, seminars, and ongoing education.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development for staff at all levels.

  1. Compensation & Benefits:
    • Oversee employee compensation, benefits, and payroll processes, ensuring equity and competitiveness within the healthcare sector.
    • Advise management on compensation-related matters and help manage annual salary reviews.
    • Ensure proper administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.

  1. Hospital Workforce Strategy:
    • Contribute to long-term workforce planning, ensuring the hospital's staffing needs align with strategic goals and patient care objectives.
    • Utilize HR analytics to identify trends, improve workforce efficiency, and optimize resource allocation.

  1. HR Reporting & Administration:
    • Maintain accurate HR records, databases, and HRIS systems.
    • Generate reports related to staffing, turnover, performance, and employee engagement as needed.
    • Support administrative functions such as employee onboarding, exit interviews, and maintaining employee files.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

  • Experience:
    • 5-10 years of HR management experience, with at least 3-5 years in the healthcare or hospital industry.
    • Proven experience in managing HR functions in a hospital or healthcare setting.
    • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, labor laws, and HR best practices specific to the healthcare industry.

  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day HR functions.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • In-depth understanding of employee benefits, compensation strategies, and HR policies.
    • Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant HR software.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
    • Experience with performance management systems and employee engagement strategies.
