Job Description

Role & responsibilities


  • Workforce Planning: Analyze the staffing needs of the power plant based on operational requirements and projects. Forecast future staffing needs based on plant capacity, expansion, or turnover.
  • Talent Acquisition: Manage recruitment processes for various roles, including skilled labor (e.g., engineers, technicians), administrative, and managerial positions. Use job boards, recruitment agencies, and campus outreach to source candidates.
  • Onboarding: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including training on plant safety, operational procedures, and plant-specific software.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Handle employee disciplinary procedures when necessary, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Workplace Culture: Promote a healthy and inclusive workplace culture, emphasizing safety, teamwork, and compliance with ethical standards.
  • Employee Well-being: Develop wellness programs or initiatives to address mental and physical well-being, which is especially important in high-risk industries like power plants.
  • Salary Administration: Ensure that compensation packages are competitive within the industry and align with the plant's budget. Administer salary structures and manage payroll in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Employee Retention: Develop strategies to retain skilled workers, especially in roles requiring specialized knowledge (e.g., plant engineers, maintenance technicians), to reduce turnover rates and costs associated with recruitment.
  • Succession Planning: Implement succession planning for key positions, ensuring that there is a talent pipeline ready to step into roles as employees retire or move to other positions.
  • HR Analytics: Use HR metrics to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as employee turnover, absenteeism, training hours, and overall workforce productivity.
  • Knowledge/ Experience in handling GreytHR HRMS software.


Preferred candidate profile


MBA- in Human Resources/ Any HR Post graduate with min. 5 yrs experience in recruitment and other HR activities of power plant industry.
