Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.

- Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.

Litigation Management:

- Handle civil, criminal, labour, IPR, and regulatory litigation.

- Manage and coordinate with external legal advisors for litigation matters.

Legal Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

- Monitor and track judicial pronouncements, law amendments, and new enactments across India.

Merger, Acquisition, and Joint Ventures:

- Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

- Conduct due diligence and draft necessary legal documents.

Advising Business Verticals:

- Advise business verticals on legal issues and provide prompt legal assistance.

- Promote legal awareness throughout the company.

Stakeholder Management:

- Develop and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, including external counsels, authorities, and international counterparts in Singapore and Paris.

- Ensure smooth coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Leadership and Teamwork:

- Foster an environment of openness and teamwork.

- Maintain a strong focus on customer needs and satisfaction.

Operational Efficiency:

- Navigate a complex environment with a federal structure encompassing 29 states and 7 union territories.

- Manage multiple laws and languages.

- Handle time-sensitive and urgent requests efficiently.

- Adapt to continuous changes in the legal and corporate governance framework.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a Tier 1 law college in India (mandatory).

- National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru

- National Law University (NLU), Delhi.

- NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

- The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata.

- Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

- Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

- Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar.

- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.

- Minimum 8-10 years of legal experience, with at least 4 years in manufacturing multinational companies.

- Hands-on experience in contract management, litigation management, legal compliances, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

- Strong management skills and understanding of business operations.

- Customer-focused with the ability to develop good relationships with all stakeholders.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
