Head Collections

Role Objective:

• Oversee the entire collections function for the organization, ensuring timely recovery of dues while maintaining customer relationships and reducing delinquency.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies for secured loan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end collections process across loan portfolios
• Monitor and control delinquency across early, mid, and late-stage buckets.
• Develop and drive recovery strategies for Non-Performing Assets (NPAs).
• Implement data-driven collection strategies, leveraging technology and analytics.
• Lead and motivate the collections team, ensuring target achievements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines (RBI/NBFC norms) in all collection practices.
• Engage with legal teams for recovery through legal channels (SARFAESI, Arbitration, etc.).
• Manage outsourced collection agencies and vendors.
• Drive customer-centric solutions while balancing risk and recovery.

Key Competencies Required:

• Strong understanding of NBFC regulations and collection practices.
• Expertise in handling secured and unsecured loan collections.
• Excellent team management and leadership abilities.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in MIS and recovery dashboards.
• Sound knowledge of legal recovery processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in collections, preferably in an NBFC or Banking sector.
• Proven track record of reducing delinquency and improving collection efficiency.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience working with digital collection tools and platforms.
• Ability to work under pressure and drive performance-based outcomes.
