Job Description
- Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex software solutions within IA HSS business (HON Sensing Solutions). You will lead and manage a group of the worlds most talented engineers who provide and develop expertise to facilitate the success of software engineering products.
- The Sr Sw Engineering Manager for HSS team will be responsible for the development and delivery of the high business-value projects, in the areas of Healthcare, Transportation, Industrial and Electrification application domains accountable for both Sw and embedded deliverables in growth programs.
- Manage large Software programs and application development along with integration of multiple sub-systems for ILC business vertical, accountable for NPI deliveries for ILC-Systevo platforms.
- Manage Business Services & IOT projects ensuring quality and timely outcome, leading / mentoring 3-4 scrum teams while working on the state-of-the-art technologies (Adv Image process, AI/ML, Sensors/Edge fusioning, IOT solution, Cloud-azure, Micro services, REST API s, Kubernetes, to name a few).
- Able to flow down the goals at LOB level strategically and be a situational leader with laser focus to ensure the deliveries and results are met.
- S/he will be responsible for collaborating effectively across the team in multiple locations, involved in requirements analysis, architecture, design & development, V&V, to enable the successful delivery of the platform projects.
- This role will be responsible for technology roadmap, strategy development, and new product introductions for the HSS sensors & system solutions portfolio.
- Accelerate Breakthroughs targeting new applications and sensors for both Global and HGR Customers .
- Must have experience/exposure with Automation and unit testing frameworks, eco systems for Development & Operations (DevOps) frameworks & drive Gen-AI adaption for impactful outcomes.
- Should be able to work with global teams and have strong SDLC practices. Keep track of technology trends for work areas like software architecture, mobile industry standards, drive innovation & best practices.
- This leader will be accountable for functional alignment, driving strategic initiatives, project oversight, and mentoring of the technical team.
Must Have:
- Min bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication with Min 12-14 years of experience.
- Good knowledge in Embedded Linux Operating System, Product Cyber Security skills, possess strong technical knowledge in Embedded C and Embedded C++, JAVA etc
- Experience in leading multiple x-domain teams supporting Core Sw developers, Embedded & V/V engineers involved in a full life cycle. People & talent management experience with the team size of ~15 engineers.
- Must have handled large Software programs and application Development & Deployment as an Engineering owner and involved in integration of multiple sub-systems.
- Experience with IOT Platforms, Sensor s domain & edge devices and work exposure in Engineering & Customer facing enterprise applications.
- Advanced Technology solutions in one or more of the following themes will be an added advantage Sensors fusioning, AI/ ML, BLE, Edge & IOT workflows, Image processing etc
- Strong project management skills & experience in Z21/Agile execution. Ability to understand whole system/business perspective, identify and early escalation of risks at the right time. Experience in Sw & workflow certification, regulatory and quality approvals for healthcare software solutions.
- Strong understanding of the IoT market, players, their offerings, and trade-offs. Should have worked in global product development environment, developing, and deploying products and solutions to Customers.
- Must have experience in generating System Requirements from the stakeholders requirements & experience in converting System Requirements to Architecture/Design.
- Ability to present proposals in PAC & leadership forums for STRAP, identifies original and inventive strategies where little precedent exists. Ability to manage stakeholders and to make data based judicious commitments.
