Job Description
As a Software Engineer II - Java Spring Boot Microservice Developer here at Honeywell Technologies, you will be accountable for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Postgre SQL with Microservices architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in Java Spring Boot development and experience in building microservices-based applications.
In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge software solutions that drive innovation and enhance the performance of our SMART Energy products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices
Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement software requirements
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, Unit testing, testing, and deployment
Drive innovation in software development processes and technologies

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Software Engineering
5+ years of experience in Java Spring boot development.
3+ years of experience in any Database.
2+ years of experience in Microservice development.
1+ years of experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong proficiency in Java Multithreading, Design Patterns
Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
WE VALUE
Master s degree in computer science or a related field
Work experience with Python, Java script/React-JS
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
Strong problem-solving and thoughtful skills
Test driven development
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Understanding various software development lifecycle
- Demonstrate the ability to develop efficient and high quality software
- Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
- Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
- Effective communicator
- Can quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
- Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
