Job Description
This is Sr Engineer position in PAS LOB under PMT-HPS for Industrial Safety Instrumented Systems -
Verification & Validation Team.
Skills Required:
- Candidate should have at least 4 - 8 years experience with a background in Instrumentation or
Electronics or Electrical Engineering. - Candidate is required to have Knowledge on Functional Safety in Process Industries and its applications.
- He /She should have a strong understanding of IEC61508, IEC61511, IEC 61131-2, IEC 61131-3, NFPA and FM Standards.
- He/She should have knowledge on ESD or F&G or High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS) or BMS Systems. He/She should preferably be TuV Certified for Functional Safety Engineer.
- He/She should have knowledge and hands on Experience on DCS Systems, its communication interfaces etc.
- The Candidate should have knowledge on the overall Engineering lifecycle of a Safety System.
- The Candidate should have experience in Project Engineering, Commissioning and Maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems such as Honeywell Safety Manager, FSC, HIMA, Triconex, ABB Safety Systems. experience in FAT/SAT of Safety Systems is preferred.
- The Candidate should have a strong experience in programming of FBD and other languages described in IEC61131-3 standard. He /She should have a good experience in evaluating the Engineering logic against the C&E Matrix during FAT/SAT Phases of Engineering.
- Candidate should have experience working in DCS and ESD systems. He /She should have hands on working experience in configuring the PLC, Safety, DCS systems in either commissioning or test environments.
- He should be able to differentiate between a Process Safety and Process Control Requirement.
- He/ she should have sound knowledge of different communication protocols for third party interfaces and for field device integration such as HART, Profisafe etc.
- Candidate with experience working in Process Industrial Control preferably Honeywell Experion DCS, Honeywell TDC or SCADA solution is preferred.
- He / She should have good working experience in product testing. experience in test automation tools like Python, Selenium etc will be added advantage.
- Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as, Jira would be an advantage
- Should have a Strong Logical reasoning and Analytical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- He / She will be responsible for Independent Test Execution of various Functionalities and Features of the product
- He /She will be responsible for independently Setting up the Test Environments and develop Traps to capture defects
- He / She will be responsible for designing test strategies to cover non-functional requirements in the program
- Candidate will need to ensure to use of automation & simulations defined wherever applicable that should have in depth test coverage as well as reduce cycle time
- Candidate should have a drive for Productivity improvement and DOE techniques to take intelligent risks without compromising Quality
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 4-8 years experience in the Industrial Process Control specifically in the areas of Industrial Process Safety as in Emergency Shutdown, Fire & Gas and Burner Management Systems
