Job Description
- Working knowledge of NPI Development Process is preferred
- Ability to set judicious expectations and manage them with key stakeholders
- Ability to understand whole system/business perspective, identify and early escalation of risks at the right time
- Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction for the development team.
- Good knowledge on basic PM areas like Cost, Time, Risk and vendor management
- Knowledge on EAC and Earned Value Metrics
- Experience in usage of Microsoft project/any other scheduling tools would be added advantage
- Experience with Agile methodology would be added advantage
ESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP and SOFT SKILLS:
- Ability to make data based judicious commitments
- Ability to forecast issues and have the courage to escalate to the appropriate level till an adequate resolution is achieved
- Ability to say NO when required
- Good problem solving, Influencing, Negotiate skills and good interpersonal relationship skills
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to work with cross- functional teams and globally distributed development teams
- Exercise clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in different operating environments
- Skillful in handling tough situations with both internal and external groups
- Fast learning curve to absorb the domain knowledge/ PM skill areas
- Knowledge of portfolio management tools like Accolade would be added advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Meticulous planning, executing to the plan by rigorous tracking to meet all key milestone dates
- Learn and able to report project and business metrics (Earned value management metrics (CPI, SPI, EV).
- Effective management of all stakeholders
- Provide accurate and timely project status information, milestones and metrics to key stakeholders
- Ensure programs/projects/tasks are delivered on time and that they meet financial, performance, quality and reliability goals
- Manage communications within team to meet program objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional/global teams effectively to meet program objective
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelors / Masters Degree in Engineering
- PMP/SAFe Certified would be an added advantage Or willingness to complete the certification with 1-2 yrs
EXPERIENCE:
- 10-12 Yrs experience in New Product Development experience and at least 3-5 years leading projects/ leading design ownership (preferably experienced in HW projects).
- Experience on Sensor development would be added advantage (Electrification/battery management, Medical and Transportation)
- Lean Six Sigma process experience would be an added advantage
