Purchase Manager

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices to support construction projects, interior projects & other works. The role involves supplier management, cost control, and ensuring timely availability of resources to meet project schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Planning:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the construction industry.
• Forecast material requirements based on project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare procurement plans in coordination with project managers, engineers, and architects.
2. Supplier and Vendor Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms for price, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
3. Material and Equipment Procurement:
• Source construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, electrical components, plumbing materials, etc., ensuring quality compliance.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and pricing for construction materials.
4. Inventory and Cost Management:
• Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Prepare and analyze reports on procurement costs, ensuring adherence to project budgets.
5. Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contracts, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and supplier agreements.
• Conduct regular reviews to ensure audit readiness.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with project teams to understand material specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with site managers and logistics teams to streamline material delivery.
• Address and resolve procurement-related challenges affecting project progress.
7. Team Leadership and Training:
• Lead and guide the procurement team to ensure high efficiency and professionalism.
• Train team members on procurement best practices and the latest industry standards.
