Job Description

Job Title: DSA - Lending Business Lead

Location : Mumbai (Pan-India responsibility)

- Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Lending Business to lead and expand our loan facilitation operations across India. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and managing successful lending businesses, with a strong focus on lead generation, strategic partnerships, team management, and P&L management.

- This role requires a deep understanding of lending needs of clients as well as limitations in meeting all of the requirements needed for passage of their loans. The business head should also have strong relationships within the banking and NBFC entities through whom these loans will need to be processed.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to drive loan origination and revenue growth across various loan products (personal loans, business loans, education loans, home loans, loan against property, etc.).

- Oversee all aspects of the lending business, including lead generation, loan processing, and relationship management with banks and NBFCs.

Drive lead generation through various channels, including:

- Digital marketing (social media, Google Ads, SEO).

- Strategic partnerships with other financial service providers (B2B).

- Traditional advertising and marketing initiatives.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at banks, NBFCs, and other financial institutions.

- Manage a team of sales and operations professionals, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management.

- Oversee the loan application process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve profitability.

- Develop and manage the annual budget for the lending business.

- Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the lending or financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role with P&L responsibility.

- Proven track record of building and managing successful lending businesses, with a focus on lead generation and revenue growth.

- Understanding of credit assessment (to the extent that you can see if prima facie the loan is doable), loan processing, and risk management.

- Established network of contacts within the banking and NBFC sector in India.

- Experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.

- Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
