National Category Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Manage new projects for introducing new products/ packages by identifying opportunities in the category and delivering P&L targets
2. To collect, analyze and present data related to evaluations for new products and recommend solutions for P&L improvements
3. Opportunity identification: Identify and evaluate opportunities for improving profit in existing categories, or entering new categories.
4. Identify new business models such as internet sales, home delivery, and full service vending, chill out zones by working closely and evaluating ideas from across the TCCC system.
5. Data analysis and mining- conducting trade and market research and working closely with analytical department to analyze available data for new opportunities in the market relating to product, package and category .
6. Recommend new distribution tie ups and value chain development including trade margins
7. Cross functional Liaison- Work with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to optimize the product value chain and work with other functions in analyzing effectiveness of new category developments
8. Analyze current SKU and portfolios for profit improvement and analyze pricing for New Products and Revenue Growth in current portfolio.
9. Forecasting and analyzing sales for glass, capacity and ingredient planning and working with the manufacturing, procurement team on the same.

Position Reports to: National Head Channel & Category Development

Key Customers: 

• Internal Customers:   Zones Sales Team, Supply and manufacturing teams, finance team, STM cluster teams, RGM Cluster team
• External Customers:    OU

Preferred candidate profile

Education: MBA in Sales and Marketing

Minimum Work Experience: 4  years in front line sales or channels and key account management or distribution

Business Knowledge: 

• Trade Marketing or Brand Management
• Channel Management

Language Proficiency: English, Hindi

Travel: 30% travel to field offices within the bottling Zones
