Embedded Software Test Engineer

Technical Role and Responsibilities

1. Analysing and interpreting software requirements and architecture design

2. Participate in product design, development, and testing

3. Functional Safety activities (FTA, HARA, FMEA)

4. Meeting the automotive quality standards such as MISRA C and ISO26262

5. Prepare or supporting for Test Planning

6. Prepare system and software test specifications

7. Prepare / participate in system or software verification and validation plan

8. Prepare the software test reports, traceability and review reports

9. Participating/defining practices to ensure software meets automotive standards in terms of reliability and safety

10. Participating/defining practices to ensure software is modular, reusable, documented and tested by the test team.

Mandatory Skillset

1. Experience in embedded software testing unit / integration test (white box / black box)/System test

2. Hands on experience of Software development using embedded C

3. Experience in communication protocols like I2C/SPI/CAN

4. Hands on experience of software test tools such as CANalyzer/CANoe(Vector Tools)

5. Should have experience in scripting language like CAPL, Python etc

6. Experience in static analysis tools such as Polyspace.

7. Knowledge in Functional Safety standards such as ISO26262 and MISRA C

8. Knowledge on protocols such as J1939 and UDS

Good to have skills

1. Ability to work as a team

2. Knowledge in XCP protocol is an added advantage

3. Experience in workflow for SDLC V-Model and test methodologies

4. Preferred ISTQB certification in software testing

5. Strong Problem solving and analytical skills

6. Excellent communication and dynamic individual
