Senior Application Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Experienced ASP.NET Application Support Engineer to manage, support, and troubleshoot ASP.NET, MS SQL-based applications.
• Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of web applications, assisting with issue resolution, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal system performance
• Manage incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLA targets. Escalate complex issues as necessary.
• Monitor application performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal system stability and responsiveness.
• Support database management (SQL Server or other relational databases), perform data queries, and troubleshoot database-related issues. Experience with IIS (Internet Information Services) is a must.
• Provide clear and effective communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding application issues and resolution progress.
• Identify recurring issues and implement proactive measures to reduce support workload and improve overall application reliability.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering,
  design, development, testing, deployment and support

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Application Support with a strong portfolio of web applications.
• Proficiency in ASP.NET 4.8 Webforms, ASP.NET MVC Razor Pages, ADO.NET, and Web API.
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Database development skills with SQL Server 2018 relational databases.
• SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration services
• Familiarity with version control systems such as GitLab.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and SOLID principles is plus.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
