Seating Test Engineer

Job Specification:

1. BE Mechanical / B-Tech, with 6-8 years' experience, working as Testing Engineer Seat Frames & Seat Trims

2. The services need to be carried out in SAVWIPL premises & operational methodologies of SAVWIPL must be followed (e.g. working hours, rules & etc.)

3. Job Profile:

i.Plan, co-ordinate, arrange, conduct and evaluate tests of entrusted parts of Seat Frames & Seat Trim Covers.

ii.Create, check and release tests reports in development, prototype, pre-series and BMG + K-Release. Support to Vehicle level testings as applicable.

iii.Testing according to VW standard. Define and align DVP of parts. Testing clarification to supplier. Conduct test at testing agency etc.

iv.Support for creating BMG report and K-Release reports. Support for preparation of TDO & LAH.

v.Based on PEP guidelines ensure that the respective component milestones (technical and budgetary) are completed as per project definition.

vi.Responsible for external testing facility capability evaluation and recommendation.

vii.Evaluate, analysis and define an action plan with timeline for failed test components and cooperate on their realization in components.

viii.Maintaining the project timeline and cost target. Support the team and be responsible for testing budget & closing GRN and material movement including relevant administrative activities.

4. Significant competencies:

i.Experience of VW groups development methodologies.

ii.Components, System and Vehicle level testing & set-up know-how.

iii.Catia V5 knowledge.

iv.Know-how of regulations -IS/ECE/FMVSS etc.

v.Assignment start date :- ASAP

vi.Assignment duration: 1 year & extendable.

vii.Good communication skills

viii.Deep Technical analysis & problem solving skills + Seating Know-how

ix.Additionally, manage color and trim plaques and reference samples for Interiors department.
