Job Title: Match Statistics Analyst

Looking for motivated individuals outside Victoria to join one of Australias fastest-growing sports analytics companies.

It is based in Victoria and is Australias leading analytics provider to local football teams around the country. We currently have a large client base within Victoria and are growing at a rapid rate including interstate. Our company provides local Australian rules football clubs and leagues with in-depth statistics and analysis from every game.

WHATS INVOLVED This position is specifically for individuals who live outside of Victoria.

The role has a focus on watching the vision of grassroots football matches and accurately coding individual player statistics using our specialized software. Our team members undergo specific training (in person & remotely) to enhance their knowledge around the game of Australian rules football and develop their practical skills in areas such as data collection & interpretation.

TASKS MAY INCLUDE:

• Coding Australian Rules football games in a comprehensive manner.
• Collecting & analyzing and interpreting data.
• Liaising with supervisors to identify best performing players to highlight THIS POSITION IS BEST.

SUITED TO PEOPLE WHO;

• Have completed a related degree such as sport science, sport management etc.
• Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail as our product is heavily reliant on accurate analysis of matches.
• Have a keen interest and enjoy the analytical aspects of sports.
• Applicants MUST be available during weekends, including Saturday nights and Sunday.
• Can work independently without direct supervision.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Strong communication skills
• A strong level of sports knowledge, rules, and gameplay (in particular AFL)
• Willingness to learn all statistics and interpretations of all involved statistics.
• Proactive attitude and taking initiative in appropriate situations.
