Sourcing Expert

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Role:

• Align material group strategies and execute them in Technical Projects (TP) and Time-To-Market (TTM) initiatives.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive material sourcing strategy from the TP stage.
• Reduce dependency on geopolitical risks by developing second sources and other strategic measures.
• Support HQ to create and improve Material group strategy to optimize cost, Supply resilience and Standardization (Ref. Diamonds, Powder, Tubes, Steel and forging)
• Expand Localization ratio.

Tactical Role:

• Integrate all functions to create a pipeline of saving initiatives, ensuring Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) targets are met.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
• Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Project management and ownership.

Procurement Role:

• Take ownership of the material sourcing process, from initial supplier identification to final procurement.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Support Warehousing and Material management team is optimizing inventory, Safety stock and Logistics.

• Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of material group strategies and cost-saving initiatives.
• Excellent communication & Presentation at leadership and management level.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Team building and People management skills.

• Must Have Skills:

- Min Intermediate Communication Skills (As candidate will interacting to Global team)

- Powder Metallurgy sourcing knowledge must

- Should have Asia and Local powder and Steel supplier knowledge

- Should have handled min 2M usd buying.
