Job Description
Skill Set" Programming and Scripting Languages:
Proficiency in JavaScript is essential.
Strong understanding of HTML and CSS to accurately target and manipulate elements on the page during testing.
Proficient in using Selenium WebDriver for automating browser interactions.
Familiarity with Jasmine and cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) testing.
Version Control:
Proficiency with Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
API Testing:
Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to test them, either as part of end-to-end tests or through dedicated API testing tools.
Experience using Postman for manual API testing and automating API test suites.
Performance Testing:
Experience with WebPageTest or similar tools to measure and optimize frontend performance as part of the testing process.
Soft Skills:
High level of precision in writing and executing test scripts.
Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and find solutions to complex problems in the test automation process.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality of the product."
Detailed Job Description"We are seeking a skilled Frontend Automation Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in frontend development and testing, with expertise in creating and executing automated test scripts for web applications. As a Frontend Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our web applications meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Maintain Automated Test Scripts:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for frontend web applications using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
Ensure test scripts are robust, reliable, and cover critical user flows and edge cases.
Test Planning and Strategy:
Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, and product managers to define test strategies and create comprehensive test plans.
Identify areas of the application that are suitable for automation and prioritize test cases accordingly.
Execute Automated Test Suites:
Run automated test suites regularly, particularly during the CI/CD process, to detect and report defects early in the development cycle.
Analyze test results, document defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
Manual Testing (When Necessary):
Perform manual testing for new features or complex scenarios that are not yet automated.
