Java Backend Developer - Spring Boot/Hibernate (5-7 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced and talented Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Java, J2EE, and OOPS concepts, along with hands-on experience with modern backend technologies and frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and various messaging queues (Kafka, SQS, SNS, JMS).

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting backend systems, ensuring high-availability, low-latency, and high-performance applications in a distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, deploy, and support scalable and reliable backend systems.

- Ensure that designs and implementation meet business requirements and technical specifications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle, including business analysts, product managers, and other engineers.

- Develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, focusing on delivering high availability and performance.

- Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements effectively.

- Perform development and unit testing, ensuring code quality and performance.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentoring junior developers.

- Oversee and support the development of resources, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

- Continuously improve software development processes and implement new tools/technologies for greater efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Core Java / J2EE & OOPS concepts.

- Extensive experience working with Spring/Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and related frameworks.

- Proficient with Messaging Queues / Kafka / SQS / SNS / JMS and distributed messaging systems.

- Experience working with RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis, Aerospike, Cassandra).

- Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture and development practices.

- Expertise in SOAP/REST web services and Maven for build automation.

- Experience with Caching techniques such as Redis and Aerospike for performance optimization.

- Familiarity with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and monitoring.

- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to mentor and review work of junior developers.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with Containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

- Exposure to Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
