Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Head Accounts Payable with a solid background in the travel industry, preferably. The ideal candidate must possess excellent English communication skills and expertise in managing the accounts payable function efficiently. This role requires a professional to oversee timely vendor payments, negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, TDS filling and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Management:

• Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including processing invoices, verifying payment terms, and disbursing payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, including hotel bookings, transport services, and other travel-related costs.
• Monitor and reconcile payments to vendors, ensuring all outstanding payments are processed within agreed terms.
• Handle high-value and priority vendor payments with a keen focus on accuracy.

Vendor Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Resolve discrepancies and disputes with vendors promptly to ensure smooth operations.

Bank Reconciliation:

• Regularly reconcile accounts payable records with bank statements and financial reports to ensure accuracy.

Cash flow management:

• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient funds are available for timely payments.
• Manage working capital effectively by prioritizing payments and negotiating payment schedules.

Compliance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies related to accounts payable.
• Oversee accurate tax deductions (TDS, GST, etc.) and timely filing of related returns.
• Maintain organized records and documentation to support internal and external audits.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly reports on accounts payable status, vendor aging, and expense analysis.
• Provide input for monthly and annual financial statements related to payables.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in accounts payable management, with a strong background in the travel industry (inbound tours preferred).
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills to handle international vendors and service providers.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel for payment tracking and analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in the travel industry.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to manage a team and handle multiple priorities effectively.
