Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Head- Budgeting and Taxation to oversee financial planning, budgeting, and compliance for our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and, exceptional expertise in taxation, and excellent English communication skills. This role is crucial in ensuring financial discipline, regulatory compliance, and an efficient use of resources across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Financial Planning:

• Develop, implement, and monitor the annual budget for the company, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
• Prepare periodic financial forecasts and analysis to assist in strategic decision-making.
• Review and monitor departmental budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective measures.
• Work closely with management to create cost-efficient strategies for growth and profitability.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
• Oversee tax compliance for both domestic and international operations, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Manage tax audits, assessments, and disputes, working closely with tax authorities and consultants as needed.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare detailed financial reports, including budgeting performance, tax summaries, and compliance metrics.
• Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for process improvement.
• Present regular financial updates to management, including key insights on budgeting and taxation.

Cost Control and Optimization:

• Identify and implement strategies for cost control across various departments and operations.
• Review vendor contracts and payments to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with financial policies.

Team Leadership and Training:

• Provide training to team members on taxation laws, budgeting practices, and financial compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote awareness and adherence to budgeting and tax policies.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in budgeting and taxation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the travel industry (inbound tours preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and tax compliance specific to the travel industry.
• Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and international taxation.
• Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to financial reporting.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills to work with international clients and partners.
