Proudction Head -Solar MMS Manufacturing

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager / Head Solar MMS Manufacturing Operations to oversee and optimize our manufacturing processes at our Nagpur facility. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in manufacturing Solar MMS (Module Mounting Structures), operational excellence, and team leadership while ensuring production efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Role & responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations Management

• Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process of Solar MMS to ensure production meets quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Plan and manage resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to achieve operational efficiency.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.

1. Production Planning and Control
   
• Develop and execute production schedules based on demand forecasts and order priorities.
• Monitor production progress and address bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to minimize costs while ensuring material availability.
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance
   
• Ensure adherence to quality standards in all manufacturing activities.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures, audits, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry norms.
3. Team Management and Leadership
   
• Lead, train, and mentor the operations team to foster a culture of high performance and accountability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and sales, to align manufacturing goals with organizational objectives.
4. Equipment Maintenance and Upgrades
   
• Monitor the performance of manufacturing equipment and plan preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Recommend and oversee the installation of new machinery or upgrades to improve operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering (Masters degree is a plus).
• Experience: 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in Solar MMS or similar industries (e.g., structural steel fabrication).
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Solar MMS design, fabrication, and installation requirements

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in manufacturing ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Knowledge of welding, CNC, roll-forming, and other metal fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing principles.
