Quality Control Manager-(Spiral Pipe- Manufacturing)

Role & responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS):

• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific certifications such as API 5L and other technical standards.
• Oversee the documentation process, ensuring adherence to technical standards and regulatory requirements.

2. Licensing and Certifications:

• Manage licensing and compliance with authorities like BIS, EIL, GAIL, and API, ensuring timely approvals and renewals.
• Prepare and oversee the application process for new licenses and certifications.
• Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and audit preparedness for all certifications.

3. Audits and Inspections:

• Plan and execute internal audits as per API and ISO standards.
• Conduct pre-audits and inspections to identify and address potential compliance gaps.
• Coordinate with external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful certification and re-certification audits.

4. Process Improvement and Compliance:

• Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to meet or exceed quality standards.
• Drive initiatives for defect reduction, cost optimization, and enhanced product reliability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations under EMS (ISO 14001) and OHSAS (ISO 45001).

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

• Any Graduate , Bachelors /Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Masters degree or certification in quality management is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Quality Control Management, specifically in Spiral Pipe manufacturing.
• Strong exposure to managing regulatory compliance and certifications (e.g., API 5L, Q1, BIS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
