SCM Expert -Must Be from Fibre rollout project

Experience Required: 15-20 years in SCM, with specific experience in telecom/fibre rollout projects
Educational Qualification: MBA in Supply Chain Management/Operations or equivalent; Engineering degree preferred

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic SCM expert to oversee the supply chain operations for our fibre rollout projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing procurement, logistics, vendor management, and inventory to ensure seamless execution of project deliverables within cost, quality, and timeline constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement and Vendor Management

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for fibre optic cables, network components, and ancillary materials.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency and quality compliance.
• Evaluate vendor performance and implement corrective actions for underperforming suppliers.

Project Planning and Coordination

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to align supply chain plans with project milestones.
• Forecast and plan material requirements to avoid project delays.
• Track and report on the status of procurement and supply chain activities for fibre rollout.

Logistics and Inventory Management

• Design and implement efficient logistics strategies to manage the distribution of materials to project sites.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
• Oversee warehouse operations and ensure compliance with safety and storage standards.

Cost Optimization

• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain, including alternative sourcing and logistics solutions.
• Monitor budget utilization and ensure adherence to financial targets.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to procurement, logistics, and quality standards.
• Mitigate risks in the supply chain through proactive planning and supplier audits.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the SCM team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews and develop training plans for team members.
