Healthcare Equity Investment Specialist

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a specialist with a strong healthcare background with an MBBS degree, to join our investment team. This role combines your medical expertise with financial and strategic skills to evaluate, execute, and manage investments in healthcare and life sciences businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Research & Industry Analysis:
• Conduct in-depth analysis of healthcare and life sciences sectors, identifying emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
• Evaluate the medical and clinical relevance of potential investment opportunities.
2. Investment Evaluation & Due Diligence:
• Assess potential investments by reviewing clinical data, regulatory compliance, and market positioning.
• Collaborate with external advisors to conduct due diligence on healthcare-related aspects.
3. Financial Analysis:
• Work alongside the finance team to develop financial models, projections, and valuation analyses.
• Analyze the financial performance of portfolio companies.
4. Strategy & Portfolio Management:
• Provide strategic insights into portfolio companies operations, especially in areas related to medical expertise.
• Support management teams in scaling businesses and improving operational efficiency.
5. Deal Execution:
• Assist in structuring and negotiating investment terms.
• Prepare investment memos and present findings to the investment committee.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Educational Background:
• MBBS degree is mandatory; advanced degrees (MBA/MD/PhD) or CFA certification are a plus.
2. Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in healthcare, clinical practice, consulting, investment banking, or private equity.
3. Skill Set:
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and understand the regulatory framework of healthcare investments.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and investment analysis is a plus.

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
