Executive Logistics - Cattle Feed Plant

Role & responsibilities

Logistics Management:

• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, including the transportation of raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers and distributors.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics efficiency and reduce costs.

Supplier Coordination:

• Manage relationships with suppliers and transportation service providers.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with logistics service providers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all logistics activities.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventory levels.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all logistics operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring that all logistics activities adhere to safety standards and protocols.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and implement best practices.
• Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics function within the plant.
