Instructional Designer

Key Responsibilities  

Course Development and Design   

• Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhance retention and application.   
• Visualize instructional graphics, user interfaces, and deliverables to ensure a cohesive learning experience.  

Collaboration and Analysis   

• Work with subject matter experts to identify training needs and define instructional end goals.   
• Conduct instructional research and learner analysis to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.   

Instructional Strategy and Tools   

• Apply tested instructional design theories, methodologies, and practices.   
• Formulate and plan supporting materials, including audio, video, simulations, role plays, and games.   
• Provide pedagogical guidance and technical assistance to academic staff in designing effective learning resources, leveraging contemporary teaching and learning practices  
• Develop and prepare innovative pedagogical and learning resources using a variety of media for blended and online learning environments 
• Adhere to appropriate quality frameworks and copyright requirements as required  

Assessment and Evaluation   

• Develop assessment instruments to evaluate learners performance and ensure content alignment with objectives.   
• Establish criteria to measure training effectiveness and learner outcomes.   
• Test, troubleshoot, and adapt learning solutions based on feedback, functionality and constraints 

Project Management and Documentation   

• Maintain project documentation, course folders, and manage timelines effectively.   
• Ensure deliverables align with branding, frameworks and quality standards.   

Desired Skills and Experience

• Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Design, or a related field.
• Alternatively, any degree with extensive experience in the eLearning field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
