Job Description

Role & responsibilities


The People & Culture Officer supports the functions of the P&C department through the implementation and follow-up of the various policies and procedures. The Officer takes initiative to improve employee engagement and commitment by brainstorming ideas to achieve the same. The Officer keeps track of the productivity levels and recommends strategies to optimize employee contribution. The Officer ensures that all activities comply with the requirements of the various regulatory bodies such as ASQA, ANMAC and others.

The People and Culture Officer is expected to perform the following along with additional duties to meet the requirements of the role:

  • Assist in preparing HR Annual Plan in accordance with business strategies.
  • Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives and ensure diversity goals.
  • Ensure all employees complete mandatory training programs and support employee development.
  • Facilitate recruitment, employee engagement activities and compliance checks.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, awards, and legal standards.

Preferred candidate profile


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree with specialization in Human Resources or Business.
  • Minimum 3-year experience as Human Resources Officer/Advisor role.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong level of influence and negotiation skills
  • Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects
  • Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work
  • Ability to research, evaluate and analyze new HR practices, methods, and procedures
  • Undertake other duties as and when required by the organisation
