RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER

HCG Manavata Cancer Centre is looking for RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey. Safety Compliance : Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, laws, and standards related to radiation safety and protection. Policy Development : Developing and implementing radiation safety policies, procedures, and protocols to minimize radiation hazards. Training and Education : Providing training programs and education to staff, researchers, or students on safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials and equipment. Monitoring and Inspections : Conducting regular inspections, surveys, and monitoring of radiation levels, equipment, and facilities to maintain safety standards. Incident Response : Developing emergency response plans and procedures in the event of accidents, spills, or radiation exposure incidents. Record Keeping and Reporting : Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and reports related to radiation safety practices and incidents. Qualifications : Education : A bachelor's or master's degree in health physics, radiation science, radiological health, or a related field. Certifications : Depending on local regulations, RSOs may need certifications or licenses related to radiation safety and protection. Experience : Prior experience working in radiation safety, preferably in a regulated environment, is often required. Key Attributes : Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of radiation safety principles, regulations, and best practices. Attention to Detail : Ability to maintain meticulous records and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.
