Safety Officer

Professional Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensuring EHS department SOPs to be prepared and implement at site and keep monitoring of changes as and when require.
• Planned safety observation rounds to identify UA (Unsafe act) / UC (Unsafe Condition) & Environmental related issues & discuss with concern person or Plant Managers for time bound closures.
• Organization of Safety committee meeting and record the minutes of meeting and taking necessary actions and follow up for close the points.
• Coordinate with all the department for the Accident prevention activities by imparting regular training and drills.
• Review & update Emergency Controls & conduct Fire / Evacuation / Onsite Drills at regular intervals.
• Conducting Safety Induction training to new employee & Contractor Worker.
• Ensure that all emergency equipments like Fire hydrant, fire Extinguisher, fire hose reel, fire hose box, Eye washer, Emergency siren, emergency light, SCBA set are in good working condition & preparation of all checklist.
• Monitor PPEs and ensure quality & availability of adequate stock in inventory.
• Educate the people towards unsafe action and unsafe condition.
• Coordinate with various department for compliance of observed improvement points. Authorizing all type of work permit like hot work permit, work at height permit, confined space permit, cold work permit etc.
• Monthly inspection, operation and maintenance of fire fighting equipment.
• Maintain all service report in soft copy as well as hard copy.
