Sql Server database ETL

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, Development, and enhancement of SQL server data warehouse using MSBI tools (SSIS, SQL Server development, PowerBI/ Qlik Sense)
• Programming (T-SQL) in SQL Server, Python, R programming, and machine learning
• Experience in Query Optimization, Procedures/View, and Functions.
• Ability to troubleshoot SQL server databases, ETL packages, and Reports
• Data warehouse management and SQL Server using Kimball Architecture
• Manage SQL Server Data Warehouse through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
• Maintain 100% system uptime by configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Continuously improve system performance by enhancing server configuration and parameters.
• Model complex Data Warehouse structure in SQL Server using Kimball Architecture.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Independently develop and maintain complex ETL jobs in SSIS and Kafka
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution in scheduled ETL jobs.
• Write complex stored procedures to provide solutions for business requirements.
• Understanding of BI concepts - OLTP vs OLAP and deploying the applications on cloud servers.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 4-5 Years of overall experience in IT.
• 3-4 years hand-on experience in complex ETL development in SSIS for Data Warehouse
• Proficient in Data warehousing concepts and Kimball Architecture.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL and PLSQL code.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team/module.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Should be open to work in 24X7 setup and in rotational shifts.
• Good team player.
