Etl Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.) into the data warehouse or target systems.
• Write efficient SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load data.
• Work with business analysts and other teams to understand data requirements and map them to ETL processes.
• Create data pipelines using ETL tools SSIS..
• Perform data cleansing, data validation, and ensure the integrity of the data during the ETL process.
• Optimize ETL performance by fine-tuning queries, transformations, and database processes.
• Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure smooth execution and identify issues proactively.
• Maintain and update documentation for ETL processes, including workflows, data mapping, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other teams to ensure data is prepared and accessible for reporting and analysis.
• Ensure adherence to data governance standards, including data security and privacy policies.
• Perform regular data quality checks and work to continuously improve data processes and workflows.
• Participate in code reviews and help improve the overall ETL development process.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2 years of hands-on experience as an ETL Developer.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
• Experience with ETL tool SSIS.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud-based ETL solutions (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
• Experience in data transformation, data cleansing, and data quality checks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of data integration and data migration processes.
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and understand business requirements.
