Application Development & Maintenance:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer with 7-8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, Stored Procedures, Telon, Legasuite, Shellscripts with hands-on experience in maintaining, designing, and developing high-performance mainframe applications using Microfocus ED 9.0. You will be responsible for analysing business requirements, developing solutions, and ensuring the stability and performance of our mainframe systems.

Required Skills:

• Mainframe Programming: Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, Telon.
• Database Management: Expertise in DB2 with experience in writing SQL queries and database optimization.
• Tools: Familiarity with VSAM, REXX, Endevor, File-Aid, Microfocus and other mainframe utilities.
• Version Control: Knowledge of version control tools such as Endevor or CA-Panvalet.
• Batch Processing: Experience with creating, managing, and optimizing batch jobs.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving system and application-level issues.

Desired Skills:

• Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Middleware Integration: Knowledge of MQ Series or other middleware tools for system integration.
• Cloud Exposure: Understanding of hybrid architectures involving mainframe and cloud technologies.
• Automation & Modernization: Experience with automation of jobs and processes, and familiarity with modernization tools (e.g., Micro Focus).
