SQL Tester (7-8 yrs)

SQL Tester

We're looking for an experienced SQL Tester with 7-8 years of experience in database testing and data validation.

Location : Mumbai (Hybrid)

Shift : General/Rotational Shift

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for database applications, including unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests.

- Perform thorough data validation and integrity checks, including data consistency checks, data completeness checks, and data accuracy checks.

- Analyze test results, identify and document defects, and track them to resolution.

- Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.

- Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced SQL queries (joins, subqueries, aggregations, window functions).

- Experience with writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

- Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for performance.

- Develop and implement data quality checks and rules.

- Analyze data trends and identify potential data quality issues.

- Work with data analysts and data engineers to improve data quality and accuracy.

- Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail).

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- Knowledge of database testing best practices and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7-8 years of experience in database testing and data validation.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Experience with various testing methodologies (black box testing, white box testing, integration testing).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills & Experience :

- Experience with data warehousing and data lake technologies.

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell).

- Knowledge of data profiling and data cleansing techniques.

- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Talend, Informatica).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
