Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities -

Business Development:

  • Drive business growth by actively acquiring new customers and expanding the company's client base within the solar energy sector.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies, including networking, cold calling, and identifying new market opportunities.

Performance Targets:

  • Meet and exceed targets set by the organization, including monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue goals.
  • Continuously track performance metrics to assess progress toward business goals and adjust strategies as necessary.

Solution Selling:

  • Tailor solar energy solutions to meet the specific needs of customers, ensuring the right solution is presented to the right customer at the right time.
  • Work closely with technical and design teams to customize offerings and maximize value for customers.

Brand Representation:

  • Act as a capable and knowledgeable representative of the company, maintaining the organization's image and values in all interactions.
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders with professionalism, aligning with company standards.

Industry Participation:

  • Attend and actively participate in various solar energy conferences, exhibitions, and industry events within the territory to stay updated on market trends and network with industry experts.

Tender Awareness:

  • Stay informed about current tenders, RFPs, and other opportunities in the solar energy sector, and maintain strong relationships with state tendering authorities to gather specifications and insights.

Revenue Growth:

  • Drive revenues for the company through effective sales and business development strategies, continuously seeking opportunities to expand market share.

Territorial Focus:

  • Concentrate on generating business within specific geographical territories, taking into account local nuances and needs.
  • Develop and execute regional business strategies, tailoring approaches to meet local market demands.

Industrial Sector Expertise:

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the commercial and industrial sectors in the territory, including their energy consumption patterns, requirements, and pain points.
  • Tailor solar solutions that meet the specific needs of industrial clients, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions.

Solar Background:

  • Possess a thorough understanding of the solar energy landscape within the specific territory, including regulatory frameworks, incentives, and local market dynamics.

Stakeholder Connections:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with state distribution companies (discoms), nodal agencies, and other key entities relevant to the solar energy sector.

Technology Awareness:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in solar technology and applications to offer cutting-edge solutions to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product and service offerings reflect the latest industry innovations.
