Area Sales Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Sales and Revenue Generation:

• Develop and implement a state-level sales strategy to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
• Drive sales of copper and aluminium wires, LT cables (up to 1000 sq mm, 1100V), and related products.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the companys market share in the state.
• To ensure through implementation of Company’s market policy and collect outstanding within pre-decided period or 45 days whichsoever is earlier

2. Dealer and Distribution Network Development:

• Establish, nurture, and expand a strong network of dealers and retailers across the state.
• Conduct market research to identify potential dealers and distributors in untapped regions.
• Monitor the performance of existing dealers and provide them with the necessary support to maximize sales.

3. Government Projects and Approvals:

• Engage with government departments and agencies to promote the company’s products.
• Obtain necessary product approvals and certifications for participation in government tenders and projects.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in government and public-sector projects to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities.

4. Team Building and Management:

• Recruit, train, and manage a state-wide sales team, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals.
• Set performance targets for the team and monitor their achievement regularly.
• Motivate the team through incentives, recognition, and professional development opportunities.

5. Marketing and Brand Promotion:

• Organize electrician, dealer, and retailer meets to promote the company’s products and build relationships.
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns, product demonstrations, and promotional events in coordination with the marketing team.
• Gather market intelligence and competitor analysis to refine sales strategies.

6. Customer Relationship Management:

• Develop strong relationships with dealers, retailers, project contractors, and end-users to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Address customer queries and complaints promptly and effectively.

7. Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and submit regular sales performance reports to the Regional Sales Head.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
