We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Accountant with a strong understanding of industry-specific accounts to join our growing finance team.

Job Purpose:
The Accountant will play a critical role in managing and overseeing financial records, ensuring compliance with industry-specific accounting standards, and supporting the finance team in various tasks. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of industry accounts and be proficient in handling complex accounting functions while contributing to the efficiency of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting & Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports in accordance with industry accounting standards.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of day-to-day financial transactions.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review by senior management.
    • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

  1. Industry-Specific Accounts:
    • Manage and maintain industry-specific accounting systems, ensuring accuracy in the recording of production costs, raw material purchases, and product sales.
    • Track cost of goods sold (COGS), overheads, and other industry-related financial metrics.
    • Assist in managing budgets and forecasting industry-related costs for effective cost control.

  1. Compliance & Audit:
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including tax laws, GST, and other relevant financial regulations.
    • Prepare for and assist during internal and external audits, providing necessary documents and financial data.

  1. Taxation & Financial Analysis:
    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and related filings (GST, TDS, etc.).
    • Perform variance analysis, identifying discrepancies in financial reports and providing corrective actions.

  1. Data Entry & Management:
    • Maintain accurate financial data in accounting software and spreadsheets.
    • Prepare and track invoices, payments, and receipts for proper accounting.

  1. Collaborate with Other Departments:
    • Work closely with the operations and sales teams to ensure financial data is accurate and up to date.
    • Assist in inventory management and financial aspects related to procurement.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports and reconciliation.
  • Compliance with tax and accounting regulations.
  • Successful management of industry-specific accounts.
  • Effective cost control and forecasting within the industry.
  • Contribution to the annual audit process and timely resolution of discrepancies.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: CA Inter qualification is a must.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an industrial setup or manufacturing environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry-specific accounts, such as cost accounting, inventory control, and cost of goods sold.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in handling financial records.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot accounting issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including operations and sales.
  • Time Management: Efficient in managing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication when presenting financial information to internal teams.
