Purchase Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Procurement Management:
• Source and procure raw materials, packaging supplies, and other necessary items based on production requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement to avoid disruptions in operations.
• Vendor Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Regularly review vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
• Cost Optimization:
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
• Inventory Control:
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability while avoiding overstocking.
• Coordinate with the warehouse and production team to forecast material requirements.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and vendor agreements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
• Coordination with Internal Teams:
• Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to align material availability with operational needs.
• Address any issues related to material quality or delivery delays promptly.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all procured materials meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
• Work with the quality control team to resolve any discrepancies or rejections.
• Reporting:
• Prepare and present regular procurement reports, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and purchase trends.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the packaging or manufacturing industry.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of raw materials used in the packaging industry.
• Experience in cost optimization and inventory management.
