Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategies to achieve targets, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with clients.
  • Manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service standards.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales planning and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, operations) to drive sales growth through coordinated efforts.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as revenue goals, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction scores.

  • Sales Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue and market expansion goals.
  • Identify new markets and customer segments to increase business opportunities.

  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team performance goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, set targets, and discuss strategies.

  • Market Analysis and Business Development:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and prospective clients.
  • Explore opportunities to introduce new products or services to the market.

  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.

  • Sales Performance Management:
  • Monitor sales metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline, and market feedback.

  • Pricing and Negotiation:
  • Develop pricing strategies for products and negotiate terms with clients to secure profitable deals.
  • Coordinate with the finance and production teams to align pricing with company goals.

  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Work closely with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
  • Provide feedback from customers to the product development team for continuous improvement.

  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in the packaging or manufacturing industry.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
