Senior Executive / AM - Projects & Maintenance - GIL - Food Division

Profile Summary

We are looking for a candidate having hands on experience in Green / Brown Field Projects especially in Chips/ Extrudes/Namkeen category along with Personal care equipments.

Candidate will be responsible for Maintenance of Equipments spreaded across all plants across India. Key Performance Indicators will be reduction in breakdowns, Spare ordering and Management , AMC agreements and negotiations with OEMs and alternative suppliers.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Management:

• Lead and supervise maintenance works for all plants to ensure smooth production processes.
• Monitor manufacturing activities, including spare parts procurement, AMC maintenance scheduling, packaging, and technical trainings.
• Implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and minimize operational costs without compromising quality standards.
• Well versed with Kaizen and Plant Maintenance pillar of TPM concept.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the production process to uphold product quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and enforce protocols for product testing, sampling, and analysis to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.

Commercial Acumen

• Should have hands on experience of spares inventory management, ordering process , Negotiations .
• Monthly, weekly material balancing post maintenance.
• History cards updation, PM calendar preparation.
• Should able to quantify production losses and analysis.

Safety and Compliance:

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Train and educate staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures to mitigate workplace accidents and incidents.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and productivity and link same with Asset health.
• Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate operational insights, achievements, and challenges.

Education & Skill Sets Required

• BE/BTech in Mechanical / Electrical
• Minimum 4 to 8 Yrs of experience in Project & Asset Management in snacks, Namkeen manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality control processes, and manufacturing best practices.
• Able to lead and train team on plant breakdowns, maintenance, Spare Parts ordering and spare management with Capex/Opex management.
• Must be conversant with contract manufacturing requirements and must have spent some part of a career in handling 3P operations in food snacks.
• Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Good understanding of problem-solving tools (like Fishbone analysis, Why-Why analysis, Pareto chart, 80-20 rule, brainstorming).
