Job Title: National Sales Manager

Location: Chennai


Roles and Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand the reach of the company's products.
  • Establish and monitor sales targets for regional teams and ensure they align with organizational goals.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor regional sales managers and their teams.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team.
  • Market Analysis & Business Growth
  • Conduct market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
  • Develop innovative promotional strategies to enhance brand visibility and sales.
  • Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and optimize product placement.

Channel Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers.
  • Ensure efficient distribution and availability of products across all regions.
  • Manage pricing strategies, trade margins, and promotional schemes.
  • Reporting & Coordination
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to the senior management team.
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of sales plans.


Qualifications & Skills

Educational Background
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Experience

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the FMCG or Agarbatti industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the Agarbatti market and distribution networks.

Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in sales analytics and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
