We have an opening with us for the position of "Process Engineering" for our Pune TCO.

Responsibilities:

To collect and analyze data and information in order to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product at GA India plant. Works proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with commercials team. Job holders in this role may take responsibility for the amount of components within the design and manufacturing process.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in APQP Team as Process Engineering representative.

Review process for material savings, scrap reduction, material handling reduction, and operator efficiency improvements, making recommendations, and implementing upon approval.

Determine best method to salvage non-conforming material.

Develop new production methods using engineering fundamentals.

Develop and implement new production equipment to improve quality of product, improve efficiency and reduce scrap.

Develop plant layout to improve process flow and minimize material handling.

Formulate, update, and enter Bill of Materials (BOM) in software system.

Conduct capacity studies.

Develop internal quotations for new products as needed.

Develop the DFMEA, DFM/A and other engineering disciplines if specified by the customer.

Provide support for machinery and equipment failure troubleshoot and repair.

Develop and implement Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and robot program modifications for product and process changes.

Analyze plant processes, design, and implement improvements.

Plan preventative maintenance.

Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.

Maintain quality and safety standards and ensure they are upheld.

Stay current with technological advancements.

Receive, catalogue, and store production parts and quotes for engineering drawings.

Store Customer Supplied labels used for samples, or non-production run products.

Review quarterly records for expiration of retention and review with Manufacturing Engineering Manager before disposal.

Assist in training new employees on operation of equipment.

Able to be on called on for emergency/planned events.

Skills and Attributes:

• Knowledge about industrial processes or related
• Allen Bradley, Siemens, FANUC, and ABB and PLC robotics programming
• AutoCAD, MATLAB, Simulink, Studio 5000, and PLC.
• Excellent knowledge of PFMEA and DFEMA.
• Good knowledge in measurement statistical analysis and robotics troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO 14001: 2015.
• Good knowledge of electrical theory, control components, and automation.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and KPIs.
• Excellent Microsoft Office and SAP skills, including structuring for BOM and routings.
• Proficiency in procurement management tools and technologies

Required Candidate profile:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent

3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with industrial processes or related.

Experience in layout and process flow.

Experience with Minitab, preferred.

Language Required: English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)
