We have an opening with us for the position of "Tooling & Post Process Engineer" for our Pune TCO.

Responsibilities: We are looking for a highly skilled Tooling and Post-Processing Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on plastic injection mold design and development, alongside

advanced post-processing techniques such as ultrasonic welding, heat stacking, endof-

line testing, and assembly using special purpose machines (SPMs). The ideal

candidate will possess a deep understanding of injection molding processes and

tooling, with a proven ability to optimize and troubleshoot complex systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Plastic Injection Mold Design and Development -

• Design and develop high-quality plastic injection molds to meet production

requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine mold designs and

improve manufacturing efficiency.

• Utilize CAD software to create detailed mold designs and prototypes.
• Ensure molds are designed for ease of maintenance and long-term durability.

Injection Molding Process Knowledge:

• Oversee and optimize the injection molding process to ensure high-quality production.
• Troubleshoot molding issues, including defects, cycle times, and material flow

problems.

• Work closely with production teams to implement best practices and continuous

improvements in injection molding.

Post-Processing Tooling -

• Ultrasonic Welding: Set up, operate, and maintain ultrasonic welding systems.

Ensure weld quality and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Heat Stacking: Manage heat stacking operations, including setup, calibration, and

routine maintenance of equipment. Ensure precise temperature control and product

quality.

• End-of-Line Testing (EOL): Perform comprehensive end-of-line testing to validate

product specifications and quality. Analyze results and implement corrective actions

when necessary.

• Assembly SPMs: Operate and maintain special purpose machines (SPMs) used in

the assembly process. Develop and refine assembly procedures to enhance efficiency

and product quality.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain thorough documentation of tooling designs, modifications, and postprocessing

procedures.

• Prepare and present detailed reports on tooling performance, post -processing

activities, and improvement initiatives.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production staff,

and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of tooling and post -processing

solutions.

• Provide technical support and training to team members on tooling and post -

processing equipment and techniques.

Skills and Attributes:

• Knowledge about industrial processes or related
• Allen Bradley, Siemens, FANUC, and ABB and PLC robotics programming
• AutoCAD, MATLAB, Simulink, Studio 5000, and PLC.
• Excellent knowledge of PFMEA and DFEMA.
• Good knowledge in measurement statistical analysis and robotics troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO 14001: 2015.
• Good knowledge of electrical theory, control components, and automation.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and KPIs.
• Excellent Microsoft Office and SAP skills, including structuring for BOM and routings.
• Proficiency in procurement management tools and technologies

Required Candidate profile:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with industrial processes or related. Experience in layout and process flow. Experience with Minitab, preferred. Language Required: English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)
