Workato Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Integration Development: Design, develop, and implement integrations between various systems using the Workato platform, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across platforms.

• Automation: Create and manage automation workflows to optimize business processes, reduce manual tasks, and improve operational efficiency.

• API Management: Work with RESTful and SOAP APIs to build integrations that connect cloud and on-premises applications, enabling seamless data exchange.

• Workflow Orchestration: Design and implement end-to-end workflows that span multiple systems, ensuring smooth data flow and process automation.

• Data Transformation: Develop and manage data transformations, mappings, and logic to ensure accurate data migration and synchronization across systems.

• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor the performance of integrations and automations, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure reliability and performance.

• Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration designs, workflows, data mappings, and any custom scripts or configurations.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Workato features, integration patterns, and best practices. Provide recommendations to enhance existing integrations and workflows.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience in integration development, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Workato.

Strong understanding of Workato platform capabilities, including connectors, recipes, triggers, and actions.

Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs, including API design, development, and management.

Knowledge of data integration best practices, ETL processes, and data synchronization techniques.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e. g. , AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS applications (e. g. , Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow).

Certifications: Workato Automation Pro or equivalent certification is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e. g. , JavaScript, Python) used in automation and integration contexts.

Excellent understanding of system integration concepts, including data formats (JSON, XML), messaging patterns, and error handling.

Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable integrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other integration platforms like MuleSoft, Zapier, or Dell Boomi.

Knowledge of database systems (e. g. , SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling concepts.

Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools like Jira or Confluence.

Experience in developing integrations for ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
