Position Overview :

As the Director of Software Engineering, you will be a strategic and technical leader responsible for the development and delivery of Growth99's software solutions. This role will involve driving innovation and ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of all software products. The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about coding, combining technical expertise with a commitment to developing high-quality software that drives business success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems with Java & Spring Boot.
• Optimize server-side logic for high performance.
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams for seamless integration.
• Build and manage APIs for system communication.
• Review code, troubleshoot issues, and enhance system architecture.
• Implement security measures and ensure data protection.
• Work with databases for efficient storage and retrieval.

Requirements :

• Proven experience as a senior software developer with 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and other Java frameworks for scalable application development.
• Proficient in building RESTful APIs and working with microservice architecture.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda functions, S3, EC2, RDS, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with messaging, notification, and queue systems like Twilio, SendGrid, SES, SQS, and SNS for efficient communication and task processing.
• Familiarity with AI-driven development using Spring AI for integrating AI-powered features.
• Proficiency in designing and developing robust applications, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for scalable deployment and management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and working knowledge of DevOps tools for streamlined deployment.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, best coding practices, and system architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control for collaborative development.
• Experience conducting code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring junior developers.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, collaborating effectively across engineering and product teams.
