Job Title: Category Manager

Location - Gurgaon

Industry - Small Domestic Appliances

Key Responsibilities:

1. P&L Management:

• Drive P&L objectives for assigned categories, focusing on net sales, gross margin, and market share growth.

2. Market Expertise & Trend Analysis:

• Serve as the category expert by closely monitoring market trends through research, store checks, and home visits.
• Coordinate market research activities, including briefing, analyzing results, and identifying actionable insights.

3. Marketing Strategy Development:

• Define and recommend marketing strategies, including objectives, goals, and actionable plans for:
• Line-up evolution, product refreshment, and new product positioning.
• Pricing and price positioning.
• Distribution strategy and in-store/online communication plans.
• Develop product and pricing strategies for diverse channels (Trade, E-Commerce, LFRs).

4. Product Lifecycle Management:

• Recommend and implement baseline evolution strategies, including product repositioning, refreshment, and discontinuation.
• Collaborate with technical development teams on New Product Development (NPD) across concept, design, packaging, and marketing materials.

5. Launch Execution:

• Develop comprehensive launch packages in collaboration with the Marketing Communication Team, including:
• POP materials, advertising, PR events, sales events, and digital marketing campaigns.

6. Performance Monitoring & Analysis:

• Monitor and analyze category performance using KPIs like sell-in, sell-out, awareness, and market share.
• Prepare detailed monthly sales analyses and reports, such as the "Letter of the Month" and Flash Reports.
• Support the budgeting process by preparing relevant marketing files in coordination with the Head of Marketing.

Category Management:

• Design and execute marketing strategies for new and existing products within the assigned category.
• Oversee product range management, including updates and promotional product pricing.
• Set pricing strategies based on market benchmarks and margin goals.

Sales Enablement:

• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve commercial objectives by providing tools, materials, and presentations.
• Conduct product training sessions for new product launches.
• Provide monthly updates on product information to Sales Heads, Regional Heads, and distributors.

Skills & Qualifications:

• At-least 6 yrs + experience in Core Category Management Role
• Must have experience in Product based company from FMCD, FMCG or Consumer durable company.
• Must have excellent communication & Presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills for market and competition analysis.
• Proven ability to develop and execute category marketing strategies.
• Excellent coordination and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Experience in pricing, product development, and sales enablement.
