IPYP & MSP- French Teacher @ Greenwood High International School

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate French Teacher to join our international school faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality language instruction following the Integrated Primary Years Programme (IPYP) and Middle School Programme (MSP) frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging French lessons aligned with the IPYP and MSP curriculum.
• Develop students listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French.
• Create an inquiry-based learning environment that fosters critical thinking and cultural appreciation.
• Design assessments that align with IB assessment criteria and effectively track student progress.
• Incorporate innovative teaching strategies to support differentiated learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate French into interdisciplinary learning projects.
• Guide students in developing their ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills.
• Participate in IB training, workshops, and professional development sessions.
• Engage with parents and school staff to support student learning and development.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's/Masters degree in French Language, Education, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB World School.
• Certification: IPYP & MSP training (preferred) or willingness to undergo IB training.
• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in French; strong English communication skills.
• Skills:
• Inquiry-based and student-centered teaching approach.
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning abilities.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
• Commitment to international-mindedness and holistic education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in differentiated instruction to cater to diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with IB principles, philosophy, and Learner Profile attributes.
• Passion for fostering a multicultural and multilingual learning environment.
