Student Well-Being Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and qualified Student Well-Being Counsellor to support the emotional, social, and mental well-being of students in our school. The counsellor will work closely with students, parents, and staff to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes student success and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling to support students' emotional and mental health.
• Assist students with stress management, academic pressure, and personal challenges.
• Develop and implement well-being programs, workshops, and awareness sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support students' overall development.
• Maintain confidential records and follow ethical counselling practices.
• Offer guidance on university applications, career choices, and life skills (if required).
• Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
• Promote a positive school culture that fosters student well-being and resilience.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Masters degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a school counsellor, preferably in an international curriculum school.
• Strong knowledge of adolescent psychology, mental health strategies, and well-being programs.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with IB philosophy and student support systems (preferred).
