Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Spanish Teacher to teach in the Integrated Primary years Programme (IPYP), Middle School Programme (MSP), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The ideal candidate will have a passion for the Spanish language and culture, strong knowledge of international curricula, and the ability to inspire and support students in developing their language proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching:
  Deliver engaging and high-quality Spanish lessons to students in MSP, IGCSE, and IBDP levels, fostering a positive learning environment and developing their skills in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.
• Curriculum Planning and Delivery:
  Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned with the MSP, IGCSE, and IBDP Spanish curriculum frameworks. Utilize a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and linguistic abilities.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
  Prepare and administer formative and summative assessments in accordance with the curriculum standards of MSP, IGCSE, and IBDP. Provide constructive feedback to students and track their progress over time.
• Support for External Examinations:
  Guide students through the preparation for IGCSE and IBDP external exams, ensuring they are familiar with the exam format and expectations. Conduct mock exams and provide revision sessions where needed.
• Student Support and Guidance:
  Offer individual and group support to students, assisting them in improving their Spanish language skills and preparing them for assessments. Encourage students to explore Spanish-speaking cultures and languages beyond the classroom.
• Classroom Management:
  Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and a love for language learning. Maintain discipline and manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Professional Development:
  Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Spanish teaching methodologies, IBDP, IGCSE, and MSP curricula. Participate in school-organized professional development workshops and training.
• Collaboration:
  Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Languages Department and other subject areas to develop interdisciplinary projects and support cross-curricular learning. Participate in regular department meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Parent Communication:
  Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, areas of improvement, and strategies for academic success.
• Extracurricular Involvement:
  Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote language learning and cultural appreciation, such as language clubs, cultural days, and student exchange programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Spanish, Spanish Literature, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or diploma in education.
• Dele : C1 / C2 certification
• A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Spanish in MSP, IGCSE, and/or IBDP levels.
• Proficiency in Spanish and deep understanding of IBDP and IGCSE Spanish curricula.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to use technology effectively for teaching and assessment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience preparing students for IGCSE and IBDP Spanish exams.
• Familiarity with innovative language teaching techniques and digital learning tools.
• Ability to inspire students with an appreciation for Spanish language and culture.
• Experience in working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
